Tina Paulk, RN, is Jackson Hospital’s Employee of the Year 2018.  Ms. Paulk is a Registered Nurse serving patients and families providing emergency nursing care to those experiencing life threatening health events in Jackson Hospital’s Emergency Department.

Tina was surprised to be named by the Employee Leadership Committee as the 2018 Employee of the Year.  She says, “I am so honored to have received this award.   When I reached out to help a fellow co-worker after the devastation of Hurricane Michael, it was just the right thing to do.” Ms. Paulk’s selfless act to help a co-worker in need also garnered her the recognition of December Employee of the Month.

Jason Jerkins, Director of Emergency Department says about Tina, “Tina is an outstanding employee, always going above and beyond.  She is so compassionate and caring not only with her patients, but also with her fellow co-workers.  I could not think of anyone more deserving for Employee of the Year.”

With over 24,000 visits each year, Jackson Hospital’s Emergency Department is a busy place. The combination of FastTrack and traditional Emergency services allows us to give each patient the level of care their injury or illness demands.

Patients receive exceptional response to life-threatening emergencies when minutes matter. To maintain that response level, an innovative system called FastTrack expands our ER capacity and reduces patient wait time. Patients sent to our FastTrack area have generally less urgent, non life- threatening injuries.

Jackson Hospital’s Emergency Department responds to critical cases with a Physician-led team of caregivers that provides immediate attention to the patient.
