Faith Tice, LPN, is Jackson Hospital’s February Employee of the Month

Ensuring hospital nursing care is tailored to the patient

March 24, 2017 Marianna, FL -  LPN Faith Tice is Jackson Hospital’s February Employee of the Month.  Ms. Tice was designated during the recent March Pickle Luncheon held at Jackson Hospital.

Faith is a graduate of Florida Panhandle Technical College and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) spring 2015.  In July 2015, she joined Jackson Hospital’s 2nd floor Medical/Surgical nursing unit in her first position as LPN

Her connection with Jackson Hospital began during her clinical training for her formal nursing education.  She says, “As a student, I felt comfortable at Jackson Hospital, everyone was helpful which made my training an enjoyable experience.”

Faith was recognized for giving that little extra when she prepared a color-coded chart with thorough explanation of each pill for a hospitalized patient who needed extra help understanding medication instructions.  In fact, her colleagues mentioned in her nomination that she should receive a “whole jar of pickles for her approach to patient care.”

Ms. Tice’s aspirations include achieving her Registered Nurse license and owning a bakery one day.

Jackson Hospital’s customer service ideals are outlined in its program called “Give ‘em the Pickle.”  The hospital’s customized program with video titled “What’s your Pickle?” with Bob Farrell, produced by Media Partners™, is implemented by Chief Nursing Officer Robbin Catt Pumphrey.   “Because of our employee-focused customer service efforts, Jackson Hospital is ranked nationally in the top 25% in customer service according to HealthStream Research,” says Pumphrey.

Patients, visitors, and colleagues submit nominations of staff from whom they received superior customer service.  Each month a “Pickle” luncheon is held to recognize the top nominees.

Jackson Hospital is proud to recognize Faith Tice, LPN, and thanks her along with every employee, volunteer, and Medical Staff member for providing high-quality, leading-edge healthcare service.  Each day Jackson Hospital moves closer to reaching its vision of “being the best community healthcare system in the nation.”

With its top-ranked customer service, high quality and safe patient care, the hospital is forward-thinking in expanding needed services with its OR expansion, and now open Chipola Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center and Chipola Quick Care.  The hospital, located at 4250 Hospital Drive, Marianna, FL, has 33 physicians on its active Medial Staff.  For information on hospital services, visit www.jacksonhosp.com.  For physician referral, please call Rachel Toliver at (850) 718-2629.
