Jackson Hospital broke ground on the project fall 2016.  The operating suite addition is a new 9,500 sq. ft. area on the south side of the hospital.  The new space will be home to four specially constructed operating rooms, including a state-of-the-art hybrid room, four procedure rooms, and an OR nurses’ station.  Jackson Hospital is doubling its capacity for patient pre-operative reception and post-operative patient recovery.

After the opening of the new addition, a renovation project will kick-off on the existing 12,500 sq. ft. space now used for patient Pre-op, Post-anesthesia Care unit, Chapel, Lab draw station, Sterile Processing, and Operating Rooms 3 and 4.

Jackson Hospital recently added to its surgical capabilities full-time ENT (Otolaryngology) service for pediatrics and adults.   This new service complements the existing surgical services of General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, and Urology.

Other construction expansion projects include new construction Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center and Quick Care Center at the intersection of Highway 71 and 90 E, Marianna.  Both are expected to be completed by the end of December 2016.  Whereas, In early December, Dr. Ricky Leff and ARNP Michelle Baber join Dr. Orlando Muniz and DNP Rita Smith in a combined and newly expanded OB/GYN practice at the Hudnall Building, 4230 Hospital Drive, Suite 209, Marianna, FL.
